Introduction

This tutorial will help you connect to Digital Hackers matrix network using the Element client. Element is a Matrix-based end-to-end encrypted messenger and secure collaboration app. Element is a digitally sovereign, secure and interoperable communications platform. Built on the Matrix open standard, it gives users the independence to control and manage their communications. Element for Windows and Linux is available for download here.

Element client

The Element client is the application that allows you to connect to the matrix servers. The clients are free, easy to use but the initial setup can be confusing. Each of the links below contain the basic information to get connected to our network. In order to join our matrix server, you will have to download and install an Element client. To install a client for linux users follow the instructions from here.

Unlike IRC network, our matrix network is a private so if you want to join, you will have to request us by email.
